Join Marc at the Festival on Saturday morning at 9AM as he discusses the art of wood turning. The event is free to the public. His work will also be prominently displayed and available for purchase for the duration of the Festival.

MARC - ARTIST STATEMENT
I became interested in making things on the lathe in 2010 and have been deeply involved in the culture of wood turning since. My personal direction is to find the beauty in every piece of wood, If the wood is simple and plain grained, I do like to find ways to embellish the object. The embellishments can be like adding ribs around the rims, extra curves in unexpected places, piercing the wood to create designs and adding non-wood materials such as turquoise, copper or glass beads. I look forward to many more years of creativity with wood and making things round.
